Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how ModyPixl credits work, what we do when a generation fails, and why we do not offer refunds on credit top-ups. It applies to all credit purchases made through ModyPixl on the website, iOS app, and Android app.

Short version

ModyPixl runs on a credit-based, pay-as-you-go model. There are no monthly or annual subscriptions.Credits you purchase are non-refundable. If a generation fails for any technical reason on our side, we automatically retry until it succeeds — at no additional cost to you and with no credits deducted for the failures.

1. How Credits Work

ModyPixl uses credits (1 credit = US $0.01) to pay for AI generations. You purchase credit top-up packs whenever you want; there is no recurring billing. Credits do not expire.

  • Different templates cost different numbers of credits depending on how much GPU time and how many AI models they use (single image, video, music, multi-stage pipeline).
  • Each generation deducts the credit cost shown on the template card BEFORE the job runs.
  • HD upsell variants and watermark removal are paid extras shown as separate line items on the same generation.

2. No Subscriptions

ModyPixl does not sell monthly or annual subscriptions for AI generation. You are never auto-charged. You decide when and how often to top up.

You may see optional add-ons (such as a one-time watermark-removal toggle on a generation, or a one-time HD variant). These are paid per use, not subscriptions.

3. No Refunds on Credit Top-Ups

Credit top-up packs are non-refundable. Once credits are added to your wallet, they cannot be returned for cash. This is consistent with industry practice for digital credit / token products.

Because credits do not expire and can be spent on any template at any time, you keep full control over how and when to use them.

4. Failed Generations — Auto-Retry, No Charge

If a generation fails for a reason on our side (model timeout, GPU allocation error, internal worker crash, transient network error between our backend and the AI worker), we retry the generation automatically until it completes successfully.

  • Auto-retried failures do not deduct additional credits.
  • If you see a temporary error message during a retry, your credits are safe — they will only be debited when the final successful result is returned.
  • If we genuinely cannot deliver the generation after our retry budget is exhausted (extremely rare), the held credits are refunded back to your wallet automatically within a few minutes.

This means you will never be charged for a generation we failed to deliver. We absorb the GPU cost of every retry; you only pay for the final, successful output.

5. When Refunds DO NOT Apply

The following are NOT eligible for refund:

  • Generations you do not like the result of (the model produced something, but it isn't what you hoped). AI output is inherently variable — please review template previews and your custom prompt before generating.
  • Generations that failed because of input you provided (corrupt image, prompt that violates our content policy and was blocked).
  • Unused credits in your wallet.
  • Charges from a third-party platform (Apple, Google, Paddle) processed under their own refund policies — see Section 7.

6. Free Trial & Signup Bonus

New accounts receive a one-time signup credit bonus (currently 10 credits) plus, on the website and apps, a one-time free watermarked trial video (low-resolution, 3 seconds). These free items are provided as a no-cost trial of the product and are not eligible for cash refund.

7. Purchases via Apple App Store or Google Play

Credit purchases made through the iOS app are billed by Apple; those made through the Android app are billed by Google Play. Refund requests for those charges follow each store's policy:

  • iOS (Apple App Store): request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Android (Google Play): request through your Google Play account > Order history.

If Apple or Google approves a refund of a credit top-up, the equivalent credits will be removed from your ModyPixl wallet. If your wallet balance is lower than the refunded credit amount at the time of refund, the difference may be reflected as a negative balance, which we will collect from future top-ups before issuing new credits.

8. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank instead of contacting us first may result in immediate suspension of your account until the dispute is resolved. Please email us first — we respond quickly and most issues can be solved in one round trip.

9. Account Closure

You can close your ModyPixl account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Closing the account removes your credit balance and is permanent; unused credits are not refunded.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Existing top-up purchases remain governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
